Google “Austin” aka AustinVonNEW – one of the original founding members of the incredible NEW Studio TM. Austin is a rogue pirate who lives and works in sarf East London on various solo renegade raids and high profile joint shakedowns. From his early “Brandalised” illustrations in the press – to animated music promo pioneering ( back in the day ) – from influential cheeky lil’ logos – to Art Directing all manor of buccaneer’s arty party publications and events, Live painting, and other blags for traders that include; The Illustrated Ape, Big Active, InterCity, Kult, Carhartt Europe, Dazed & Confused, The Face RIP, Lodown, LWL, Diesel, Pepe, Levi’s, The Guardian, XL Records, Havana Rum, Tiger Beer, Penguin Books, Time Out, Creative Review, Grafik, Speak, Blah blah blah ( the list goes on ) Curated / painted / co-founded the infamous super heavy-weight V show / Matsuri / BlackConvoy collectives ( and the occasional SecretWars battle ) his latest works can be found in tiny independent galleries ( what’s left of them ) – Meanwhile… Austin’s currently in “roaming mode” and working on more international collaborations, constructing more swanky shelving for all the books he’s in, and is looking to expand his Cantonese pronunciation – “xie xie!” – Njoi.
